LOCKOUT

Description
This course explains the method of locking-out a machine or piece of equipment by shutting off or disengaging all applicable energy sources, controls, or isolating devices and locking them in the off position with an approved personal safety lock.

Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this class, you will:

• Understand lock-out
• Be able to identify aproved personal safety locks
• Understand the application of additional securing devices such as blocks, pins, etc.
• Perform safety device testing
• Be able to ensure that all applicable energy sources have been isolated
