Company History

Imperial Automation Technologies Inc. is a privately owned Corporation based in Fergus Ontario. IAT was established in 1994, incorporated in 2000 and managed by a single family focused on customer needs. Fergus is part of the the Golden Triangle community surrounded by a tranquil environment along the Grand River and just 19Km’s North from highway 401. The Golden Triangle, which also includes the cities of Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo is a hot bed for technology based companies rivaled by the likes of ATS, GLEGG Water Conditioning, BUDD Automotive, A.G. SIMPSON, S&S Technologies and many others. The Golden Triangle is recognized for its wealth of technical talent, thanks to the University of Waterloo, University of Guelph and Connestoga College.

IAT has grown significantly beyond the Golden Triangle in the last 10 years. We have more than doubled the size of our facility and business volume since 1994 and employ highly skilled and highly specialized industrial electronic technicians, technologists, engineers and seasoned instructors. We believe in helping our community by recruiting and training new graduates in our field, supporting secondary school programs and other community events.
